Forwarded from Michael Hutchinson, our UK colleague.  Just another
indication of how very wrong the "psychics" are.  Had Diana not died
suddenly, this prediction -- by a TOP psychic writing for a major UK
newspaper, note -- would have been ignored if and when its contents failed
to be realized.  We now know that Diana and Dodi had stated their intention
to marry.  Diana's personal -- and well-paid -- astrologer had just given
her a consultation before the fatal accident, and evidently did not advise
her to avoid tunnels.  Now, that same astrologer is trying to divert
attention from her failure by postulating a conspiracy from on high to
murder the two lovers.  I bring these facts to your attention so that you
can recognize how drearily wrong astrology and other forms of divination,
even when done by THE BEST of the seers, really is.  One web astrologer has
discovered a dire configuration of the stars and planets that happened at 4
a.m. that morning -- the moment of the official announcement of Diana's
death -- NOT the time of actual death.  But it's straw-clutching time for
the vultures.

Here's what "psychic" Maureen Conway wrote in the London Sunday Mirror
edition of May 19, 1996:

THE AMAZING PREDICTIONS OF THE TOP PSYCHIC WHO REALLY KNOWS THE ROYALS

        PRINCESS DIANA will become more and more embittered and unhappy as
her ex- husband becomes more and more fulfilled and happy over the next few
years.  She will move out of Kensington Palace and into a London square --
playing the martyrdom game by trying to make it seem as though she had been
evicted.  She knows people have now sussed [figured out] her act -- but
will go on and on playing for sympathy.  And getting less and less each
time.
        She will become deeply resentful of the new woman in Charles' life
--  especially since William and Harry will become very close to her.  The
princes will find what they have so far lacked -- a happy family life --
with their father and his new wife.  Diana is already putting great
pressure on the boys.  William finds it particularly difficult to handle
and as it increases both boys will turn more and more to their father.
        Diana will marry twice more.  The first time to a fairly well-off
Englishman, who will give her one more child -- at about the same time as
she feels her boys are being drawn towards Charles' new wife.  Eventually
this man will walk out on her, and she will marry again -- this time to a
less well-off foreigner, possibly an American who will sponge off her. 
They too will split up.
        She will also have more lovers -- even though she does not really
enjoy sex.  She uses it as a weapon to manipulate men.  She knows they will
always go to bed with her because of who she is.  She can use sex to break
up other people's relationships and will do this many more times.  She
likes the challenge of doing it.
        She will give another TV interview which will cause a lot of
trouble -- as it will break an undertaking she has given NOT to talk about
her marriage.  For Charles his marriage to her is history.  He will NEVER
talk about it again.
        She is already becoming embittered -- and it is also starting to
effect [sic] her health.  She is beginning to put on weight now.  As soon
as this is pointed out, she will become ill again -- and, like before, she
will try to harm herself.

Maureen, you're a mean, nasty, broad.  And you're as incompetent as any
"psychic" has ever been.  Get a job.
