Muy oportuno. Hay múltiples versiones (en realidad dos o tres, variando 
según los "protagonistas" y el final escogido). Normalmente se atribuye a 
Bertolt Brecht, pero más bien parece ser del pastor antinazi Martin Niemöller
(mira http://www.britannica.com/eb/article?eu=57186&tocid=0 ).

Van algunas de las versiones:

According to Harry W. Mazal, the exact text of what Martin Niemöller said, 
and which appears in the Congressional Record, 14, October 1968, page 
31636, is:
When Hitler attacked the Jews I was not a Jew, therefore I was not 
concerned. And when Hitler attacked the Catholics, I was not a Catholic, 
and therefore, I was not concerned. And when Hitler attacked the unions and 
the industrialists, I was not a member of the unions and I was not 
concerned. Then Hitler attacked me and the Protestant church ? and there 
was nobody left to be concerned.

Yet another note about the quote: several people have e-mailed me with the 
citation from the Congressional Record. This is the only instance of 
Niemöller's name occuring in that source. I checked the reference. 
Unfortunately, Niemöller never addressed the U.S. Congress. The quote comes 
from a Representative parapharasing Niemöller and not the man himself and 
thus an authoritative "single, correct" version of these famous words 
continues to elude us.

The poem is by German theologian Martin Niemöller, and the German original 
goes as follows:
        "Als die Nazis die Kommunisten holten,
         habe ich geschwiegen;
         ich war ja kein Kommunist.
         Als sie die Sozialdemokraten einsperrten,
         habe ich geschwiegen;
         ich war ja kein Sozialdemokrat.
         Als sie die Gewerkschafter holten,
         habe ich geschwiegen;
         ich war ja kein Gewerkschafter.
         Als sie mich holten,
         gab es keinen mehr, der protestieren konnte."

Lo más cachondo que encontré es este párrafo, de un tipo que dice
"o último tenha sido inspirado num poema (com variantes, atribuídos a 
Bertolt Brecht, e com outras, a Vladimir Maiakovski... e que todos foram 
inspirados num poema, este sim, do Padre Martin Niemoeller, sacrificado em 
1940 pelos nazistas na Alemanha)."
El buen hombre aprovecha para quedar de culto al hacer el debunking de la 
frase atribuida a Brecht, pero la caga vilmente si tenemos en cuenta que 
Niemöller murió en 1984 (según la Britannica, que para este tipo de cosas 
me parece suficientemente fiable).
