[escepticos] Manises Case Fund.

FUND RAISING TO RELEASE NOVEMBER 11, 1979 UFO ENCOUNTER REPORT

On december 1998, the Spanish Anomaly Foundation granted its "Ricardo
Caruncho" prize to engineer Mr. Juan Antonio Fernández Peris from
Valencia (Spain) for a 200-page report analyzing the circumstances and
facts related to the most internationally-known Spanish UFO sighting. On
november 11, 1979, the crew of a commercial airplane flying en route
from Majorca (Balearic Isles) to Tenerife (Canary Islands) sighted two
strange lights in the sky over the Mediterranean Sea. The pilot decided
to abort his flight and did make an emergency landing in the Manises
airport, Valencia.

>From the airport location, a number of strange-appearing lights were
seen by many witnesses, including the flight controllers and airport
staff personnel. Hours later, a Spanish Air Force Mirage aircraft was
scrambled to find out what was going on. The combat jet pilot observed
various unknown lights that he pursued with his aircraft over an
extended period of time. Although he was unable to reach the lights,
some disturbing effects manifested when flying over the vicinity of
Valencia.

Thanks to the historical declassification process of the official UFO
archives from the Spanish Ministry of Defense, that took place between
1992 and 1998, additional information has come to light which. Coupled
with many years of research and inquiries on the part of the
investigator, it has produced astonishing results and conclusions.

The Anomaly Foundation pretends to publish the entire report in book
form. For this purpose, it is required to create a budget which allows
the release of the book so as everybody can examine the ultimate
research into the most paradigmatical UFO case in the Spanish history.

In order to comply with this objective, a fund-raising campaign has been
initiated and therefore donations to the MANISES CASE FUND are actively
requested from ufologists and researchers from all over the world.
