productivo, y he señalado entre asteriscos

The first oil well was drilled in December 1983 at White Tiger geological
structure 120 kilometers South-East of Vung Tau city, and the first oil from
this well was produced in May 1984. Commercial operation of the oil field
started a mere two years later - in 1986.

Oil production is continuously increasing, and by early 2001 - Vietsovpetro
will reach a production level of over 13 million tons per year, associated
gas production exceed 5,5 million m3 per day, one part of which is used for
gas-lift and operational needs, and the other major part of over 50 million
meters per day will be supplied under 125 atmospheres pressure to onshore
facilities - the power plants and gas processing plant in Ba Ria and Phu My.
The associated gas utilization ratio has reached 85%.

Vietsovpetro.

Since its foundation Vietsovpetro has drilled over 140 thousand meters of
exploration and 800 thousand meters of production wells. As a result of
this, seven oil fields were discovered, the largest being White Tiger,
Dragon, and Dai Hung already operated by the Joint Venture.

White Tiger so far is the largest oil field on the continental shelf of
Vietnam. Main reserve of this oil field is concentrated in fractured granite
basement that is unique in world oil and gas production experience.
