Lo he encontrado muy sabroso. Hace tiempo os comenté si os habeís
encontrado alguna vez ( como yo) con personas que niegan que el hombre
haya llegado a la luna o algun otro logro científico o técnico.

Sólo me gustaría hacer un par de acotaciones.
-Que veo muy dificil atinar con las causas del hiperescépticismo. O al
menos veo muy dificil probar cuales son más allá de lo que nuestro
bendito sentido común nos dicta.
-Que más que un "sindrome del hiperescéptico" (lo cual nos habla de un
trastorno o condición temporal) tendríamos que hablar de personalidad
hiperescéptica o, al menos, del rasgo de hiperescepticismo en el perfil
de personalidad. Al menos tal y como lo describe Ernesto a mi me suena
más a un tipo de persona que a algo que le pasa a cualquier persona.

Por cierto, en lo que yo he leido sobre pensamiento, atribución y otras
yerbas no he encontrado nada al respecto. Si alguien conoce algún
trabajo al hilo que lo mencione, por favor.

PD: Otra pequeña acotación rayando en la pedantería: Los "síntomas" son
lo que el sujeto padece o siente (me duele la cabeza, tengo ganas de
mear por la noche, siento una opresión en el pecho) y los "signos" son
lo que desde fuera observamos o analizamos (altos niveles de glucosa en
sangre, colesterol por las nubes, tensión alta o baja). Creo que aquí
cabe hablar de los "Signos" de la personalidad hiperescéptica.


Y aquí va un artículo de corte humorístico que ampliará nuestra batería
diagnóstica al respecto, si bien se trata de otro tipo humano: "El
pseudocientífico de vanguardia"

   5.You think science is purely to start a business and make money. 
   6.You think it's cool to announce impossible-sounding claims to the
media without a peer review process (see #4 above), expository
discussion, or other legitimizing process. You may believe the US Patent
Office is a legitimizing process, if they aren't in conspiracy with #4
above. 
   7.You're aiming for the Einsteinian turn-science-upside-down
revolution of thought and universal understanding, based on your two
years of high school physics and a copy of Omni magazine. 
   8.You think highly suspicious behavior is actually the way people
protect themselves from intellectual theft. 
   9.Your ego is large enough to tell the world that its understanding
of the universe has always been wrong, and your fantastic, undocumented,
unverified, unrecorded, and unreproducable experiment proves it. 
  10.Your college degree (if you have one) and your pseudoscientist
interests have absolutely nothing in common. For instance, you may be
arguing about fusion with a PhD in nuclear physics (and inflating your
ego by doing so), while you only have a nursing degree.
